A two-storey house going to one continuous floor. This page is the size of the job, the plans it was measured from, and the boards under consideration. Quotes and costs are handled separately.
| Figure | What it is |
|---|---|
| 252 m² | The floor itself: 26 spaces across both storeys, measured to the interior wall faces. |
| 265 m² | The plank to buy. The floor above plus the offcut that cannot be reused — about 12% here, counted rather than assumed. |
| 273 m² | The same, plus roughly three packs kept back for repairs. Boards get discontinued; a matching plank in five years is worth more than the pack costs now. |
| 32 m² | The media room, which is inside the figures above, not additional. It may go to carpet instead — if it does, the plank drops to about 232 m² (239 m² with spare). |
Every room drawn to its interior wall faces, from the written dimensions on the original 2003 sheets and checked against laser readings on site. Shaded rooms are outside the flooring scope — wet areas and the stairs.

Three candidates, all luxury vinyl plank, all with the same 0.5 mm wear layer. What differs is thickness, pack size and whether there is an acoustic backing built in — which matters here because the upper storey sits over living space.
